DIY Glitter Mason Jars

I've recently become crafty, or as I like to call it "domestic."

FINALLY, I have started doing some projects off of my Pinterest. I seem to pin all these great DIY's, but never make anything. Until recently I could sum up my pinning activity by, "Pin Everything, Make Nothing"

Mason jars aren't just for collecting dust under your mom's kitchen sink anymore. Pinterest is full of cute ideas that you can do with a mason jar. I decided to combine a few ideas and came up with a beautiful, sparkly flower vase.

Don't mind the weird flash effect from the paper on my jars! I went to Jo-Ann's and purchased all of my supplies. The Glue for Glittering actually comes with an attached brush, and it works great. I ended up buying the 2 mason jars there too. Jo-Ann's always has coupons on their iPhone app, and coupons you can print online...so totally take advantage of that.

Literally all you do is put glue on the outside of the jar and sprinkle glitter on it. I did my jar in quarters, so the glue wouldn't dry so fast on me. It can be a little messy, but totally worth the bling-blingin' jars. I let the jars dry for a few hours before adding a flower in each.

My finished jars with faux flowers (also from Jo-Ann's). This photo doesn't even do the jars full justice. I am completely obsessed with them. The sparkle is AMAZING!

Let me know if you try this! Super cheap and so chic looking.
